The Fundação Nacional de Artes launched the Prêmio Funarte Artes Visuais Periferias e Interiores 2021/2022 to support and improve visual arts professionals and generate positive sociocultural impact in underserved regions.

Proposals may cover the following areas: painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, street art (grafite), public art, performance, installations, design, fashion, folk art, and craft (artesanato).

Workshops must present tools for sustainable artistic production, basic financial planning, and marketing to advance technical skills and support the local creative economy. Each proposal must include at least two workshops with a minimum of 20 hours each and 12-15 students per workshop, ages 16 and older.

Brazilian nationals or naturalized citizens, aged 18+; individuals or cultural organizations (non-profit or for-profit) active in visual arts.
