Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital invites submissions from artists with disabilities around the world for Art for the View, an exhibition of art and fine crafts by artists with disabilities. The exhibit debuts at a ticketed event in November 2026 and remains on display into December. All artwork on display is for sale. The online application is free and easy to complete.

  • Submission deadline: August 27, 2026
  • Notification deadline: September 30, 2026

  • Open to artists with physical, cognitive, visual, and hearing disabilities
  • Work must be executed after the onset of disability or injury
  • Works must have been completed within the last seven years
  • All works must be for sale
  • Reproduction prints will not be accepted
  • All media welcome; jewelry and fine-craft submissions strongly encouraged
  • Frame size: Height maximum 36"
  • Sculpture: Weight maximum 25 lbs.
  • All works must be framed, wired, and ready to hang
  • Use Plexiglas instead of glass for two-dimensional work; glass may only be used for pastel
  • Up to two (2) pieces per artist
  • One to two images of each piece
  • Artwork title, year completed, medium, and dimensions (Height × Width × Length)
  • Biography and artist statement (required)
  • Documents may be attached to the application
  • Application fee: Free
  • Best in Show prize: $500
  • Artists earn 75% of proceeds from sales; payments made by check in U.S. dollars after exhibition close

Each artist is responsible for shipping artwork to and from the exhibition, insured in new, sturdy, reusable cartons or crates. The exhibition sponsor is not responsible for loss or damage during initial transfer. The artist assumes payment responsibility for return shipment(s). All artwork will be sold as is, including frame.

By applying, permission is granted to Sunnyview to photograph, publicize, and reproduce submitted works for publicity, education, or development purposes. This right is perpetual and non-royalty-bearing. A consignment agreement will be included with notification of accepted work.
