The Colorado Photographic Arts Center invites current undergraduate and graduate photography students to submit work for the 2026 Emerging Vision Biennial Student Show. All lens-based media are eligible, including film, video, digital, scanner, screen-capture, and mobile photography. If work using AI is submitted, please note the use of AI.

  • Submission deadline: Friday, September 11, 2026
  • Application notifications sent: September 30, 2026
  • Artwork must be received by: Friday, November 13, 2026
  • Exhibition dates: November 20, 2026 - January 2, 2027
  • Opening reception: Saturday, November 21, 2026, 5-8 pm

Entry is open to regional, national, and international artists. Applicants must be current undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at a post-secondary institution and not graduating before the end of the academic year 2025-2026. A copy of current student schedule or student ID must be uploaded with entry or emailed to [email protected].

Submit 3-10 total works combining images and/or video. Print sizes must be specified with height or width no larger than 65". Work will be hung with magnets. Artists may choose to frame or send prints only. Exhibition sizes cannot be changed after acceptance. Non-traditional presentations integral to the work are considered; contact CPAC in advance if applicable.

Laura Sackett is the creative director and co-founder of LensCulture, one of the leading sites for discovering and publishing contemporary photography. She leads design, strategy, brand, website, print, and communications. She also designs and co-curates LensCulture exhibitions and online galleries, serves as juror and reviewer in international photo awards and festivals, is a founding Board Member of PhotoAlliance, and holds an MFA in photography from California College of the Arts. She lives in Oakland, CA.
