Overview

The CAA 115th Annual Conference is the largest convening of art historians, artists, designers, curators, and visual arts professionals. Sessions are submitted by members, committees, and affiliated societies reflecting a wide range of program content. The conference will be held in person with a selection of hybrid sessions and events.

Key Dates

• March 15: Call for Proposals period begins; submission forms open.
• April 25: Deadline for CAA115 session, workshop, and presentation submissions.
• Mid-July: Submitters notified of acceptance or rejection.
• July 27: Call for Participation (CFP) opens; chairs of accepted sessions solicit contributors.
• August 31: Deadline for CFP submissions.
• September 11: Deadline for chairs to invite applicants to participate in their sessions.
• September 16: Deadline for chairs to notify applicants of decisions by email.
• Early October: Registration opens and the conference schedule is announced.
• December 5: Accommodation requests due to CAA.
• February 3–6, 2027: CAA 115th Annual Conference in NYC

Format

In-person conference with a selection of hybrid sessions and events at the New York Hilton Midtown.

How to Submit

Submit proposals to accepted session chairs during the Call for Participation (CFP) in Sessions Soliciting Contributors. Submit an Affiliated Society Business Meeting request or a Reunion or Reception request using the designated forms.
