Art in the Atrium 26 seeks original 2-dimensional artworks by artists from Frisco and the surrounding area for exhibition at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center. All artworks must be delivered and picked up in-person; shipped artworks will not be accepted.

  • Submission deadline: Sunday, September 6, 2026
  • Selection notification: by Tuesday, September 15, 2026
  • Artwork drop-off: Tuesday, September 29, 2026, 10 am–2 pm and 4–7 pm
  • Exhibition: Wednesday, September 30, 2026–Tuesday, February 2, 2027

Artists from Frisco and the surrounding area are eligible. All artwork must be original, created within the past 2 years, and 2-dimensional. 3-dimensional artwork will not be considered. Artists under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the loan agreement.

  • Submit up to 2 images of original artwork
  • Maximum size: 60 inches (vertical) × 60 inches (horizontal)
  • All artwork must be framed and suitable for hanging with wire securely attached
  • Unframed canvases with wire securely attached are acceptable but must have finished edges
  • Photographs must be printed on quality paper at a resolution of at least 300 dpi

Submit images in .jpg format with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the shortest side. Annotations must include: artist's name, title, date of completion, medium/media, size in inches (vertical × horizontal), description of motivation/themes/process, and price if for sale.

The Arts and Culture Advisory Board and City staff will review submissions based on: compliance with eligibility and submission requirements, appropriateness of content, uniqueness and originality, visual impact, demonstrated excellence of technique, and whether the artwork reflects the shared values of the City of Frisco.

Artwork on display may be for sale by the artist. Any artwork sold must remain on display until the conclusion of the exhibition unless early removal is approved by City staff. The City of Frisco does not receive a commission on artwork sales. The City may consider selected artwork for purchase into its permanent collection; if chosen, a contract will be negotiated between the artist and the City.

Submissions accepted only through www.callforentry.org. Selected artists must deliver framed artwork and a signed loan agreement in-person on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 (10 am–2 pm or 4–7 pm) at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd., Frisco, TX 75034, Room E105. This is the only day artwork will be accepted.
