Art on the Rockies 2027

Overview

Art on the Rockies is a scenic, summer, upscale, proven art market in the Vail Valley, 8 miles from Vail and 2 miles from Beaver Creek and Avon. Edwards is the heart of the Vail Valley Community. This lush summer vacation spot attracts affluent, local & national buyers to the festival. In 2022, Sunshine Artists voted it Best Show in Colorado. This event, now in its 17th year, is a premiere, destination arts festival known for the incredible quality, diversity of mediums, and first-class treatment of both its artists and its guests. The festival showcases 85 fine artists and craftspeople from around the country. Admission to the festival is free.

• Submission deadline: 2027-04-01
• Artist notification date: 2027-04-03

• Festival dates: July 9-11, 2027 (10 am - 5 pm daily)

Jurying

• Up to 85 artists will exhibit in the 2027 festival.
• The jury is conducted by a panel of four art professionals.
• Each juror is given guidelines for selection based on excellence in concept, quality, workmanship, and aesthetics.
• Individual jury members assign points from 1-5 for each five-image presentation.
• Points are totaled and those artists with the highest total in each category are selected to exhibit.
• A waitlist of juried artists will be maintained for each category.

Fees

• Application Fee: $35.
• Exhibit Fee (3-day festival): Upon acceptance, the artist will receive a contract. The signed contract and booth fees are due to the Art on the Rockies Festival team by May 18, 2027. Failure to comply with the deadline may result in loss of exhibit space. Payment may be made by check to Vail Valley Arts League, P.O. Box 644, Eagle, CO, 81631.
