About
Purpose
The funding priority is to support activities that advance the artistic development of individual Greenville County artists. Grants help underwrite actual project costs and are intended to further artistic development through exhibit opportunities, marketing or publicity plans, conferences, workshops, and professional development engagements.
Eligibility
- Practicing artists in dance, music, literature, media, theater, or visual arts
- At least 18 years old and not matriculating students throughout the grant cycle
- Permanent resident of Greenville County for minimum 6 months prior to application deadline and during grant period (must be able to prove residency if asked)
- Ability to match 1:1 any grant funds awarded
Funding
- Up to $1,500 per award
- 1:1 match (applicant to MAC) required
- No more than two grants per fiscal/calendar year
- Single project cannot be funded from two separate quarterly grants
- Applicants with outstanding MAC project support activities or reports are ineligible until all previously awarded requirements are completed
2026 Deadlines
- 1st Q: Monday, February 16 (May – July, 2026 project initiation)
- 2nd Q: Friday, May 15 (August – October, 2026 project initiation)
- 3rd Q: Friday, August 14 (November, 2026 – January, 2027 project initiation)
- 4th Q: Monday, November 16 (February – April, 2027 project initiation)
