Overview
Project Grant mainly supports music, dance, drama, Xiqu, visual arts, film and media arts, literary arts, arts administration, arts criticism and arts education projects. Project Grant is open to all arts practitioners and organisations and covers a wide range of activities including performances, exhibitions, publications, education programmes, creation, critical reviews and archival work.

- Deadline: 30 June and 31 December
Eligibility
- Sole proprietorship, partnership, and jointly submitted applications are not accepted
- Organisations must provide proof of official registration
- Applications from organisations in process of being registered are not accepted
Grant Amount
The maximum grant for each approved Project Grant application is generally HKD $700,000. HKADC may not be able to award the full amount sought and applicants are encouraged to obtain income through other channels such as ticket sales, sponsorship, and donation.

- Late submission or submission via fax and other digital means will not be processed
Application Process
- Submission of Application
- Assessment by HKADC Members and Examiners of related Artform Groups
- Notification of Result (written notification sent to applicant)
- First installment released after signing of agreement
- Project Execution (HKADC arranges Assessor(s) to assess project results)
- Project Completion (Documentation must be submitted)
Project Report Submission
- Grants under HKD $100,000: Project Report and original receipts due within 3 months of project completion
- Grants of or above HKD $100,000: Project Report and audited accounts due within 6 months of project completion
- Final installment paid after HKADC checks the Project Report
Frozen Policy
The grantee, its head of organisation, and project-in-charge will be listed in the HKADC Frozen List if the project or project report is overdue. All persons and organisations on the Frozen List will not be eligible to apply for and receive any grant during the overdue period and six months after the overdue item is completed/submitted.
