Artists are invited to apply for a customized ceramic tiles residency program of 2-6 weeks at Aviário Studio in Portugal to develop ideas, experiment with new techniques, or consolidate a body of work.
Overview
Aviário Studio offers a customized ceramic tiles residency program designed to promote exploration and production in the field of ceramic tiles. The program provides technical conditions, time, and space to develop ideas and try new approaches, fostering connection and knowledge exchange between artists from different backgrounds. The residency can serve as a moment of transition focused on experimentation and learning, or as consolidation of a project into a new body of work.
Residency Length & Dates
- Minimum 3 weeks for ceramics residencies
- Flexible duration: 2 weeks - 6 months
- Submit your preferred check-in and check-out dates with application for availability confirmation
Eligibility
- Open to artists worldwide at any stage of career (emerging, mid-career, established)
- Must be 21+ years old at time of arrival
- May apply individually or as a team (each person must apply and be accepted individually)
- Spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators)
- Pets not allowed

Accommodation & Meals
Private bedroom in a shared housing facility on campus. Shared kitchen access but meals not provided. Housing is partially accessible.

Additional Information
Artists must be able to cover residency fee, travel, materials, and food costs. No grants currently available, but external financial support is encouraged. After application, you will receive a precise quotation for your residency.
