Two-month residency with housing and stipend support
Delfina Foundation, London, United Kingdom and Para Site, Hong Kong

The 'Harbour Exchange Fellowship Programme' is a pioneering reciprocal residency exchange initiative for arts professionals from Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, launching Summer 2026. The programme is a collaborative effort between Cheng-Lan Foundation, Delfina Foundation, and Para Site to foster cross-regional artistic dialogue and research.

Each selected artist will undertake a two-month residency: Hong Kong-based artist at Delfina Foundation in London, and UK-based artist at Para Site in Hong Kong. The residencies are supported by Cheng-Lan Foundation and include structured activities such as networking events, studio visits, and introductions to local institutions. Upon completion of the Hong Kong residency, both fellows will co-present a public event in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong-based new media artist Vvzela Kook will develop a transdisciplinary project tracing the transoceanic movement of 'exotic animals' and their role as cultural symbols and diplomatic instruments. UK-based multidisciplinary artist Shiraz Bayjoo will conduct research-based work focused on colonial extraction, ecological erasure, and decolonial discourse within enslaved and plantation landscapes.

Para Site nominates one Hong Kong arts professional to Delfina Foundation's residency cohort in London (6-12 weeks with 8-12 international practitioners). Delfina Foundation nominates one UK-based professional with strong research focus on Asian contexts to Para Site's International Residency Programme in Hong Kong (up to 8 weeks).
