neimënster invites visual artists, designers, and set designers to apply for a four-week research residency creating land art or ephemeral sculpture using natural, organic, and/or ephemeral materials for the courtyard. Works must use biodegradable and non-toxic materials, preferably from recovery and/or recycling, and must withstand exposure to Luxembourg winter elements.

  • Application deadline: July 26, 2026
  • Applicants notified: End of August 2026
  • Residency: October 19 – November 14, 2026 (4 weeks research)
  • Installation: 2 additional weeks (if selected)
  • Exhibition: December 2026 – February 2027
  • 4-week research residency from October 19 to November 14, 2026
  • 2 additional weeks for creation and installation (if selected)
  • Accommodation provided in neimënster flat with kitchenette, double bed, private bathroom
  • 40 m² indoor studio available (3 m max ceiling height; studio doors 90 cm x 200 cm)
  • Logistical and technical support provided during installation
  • €4,000 residency grant per selected project

Open to visual artists, designers, and set designers. All materials must be biodegradable and non-toxic, preferably sourced from recovery and/or recycling. Works must be designed to withstand outdoor winter conditions. Artists are free to choose their theme but proposals should preferably align with neimënster's values.
