Overview

Spring Festival on Ponce is a premier spring outdoor arts festival held along Atlanta's historic Olmsted Linear Park on Ponce de Leon Avenue. Established in 2010, it is widely regarded as the unofficial kickoff to the Atlanta festival season and attracts motivated art buyers and collectors from Atlanta's most established and affluent neighborhoods. The carefully curated event features fine art and high-quality craftsmanship across a wide range of media.

Olmsted Park, North Druid Hills, 1451 Ponce de Leon, N.E., Atlanta, GA 30307. Outdoor setting with on-street parking and paid parking options available.

Eligible Categories

• 2-D Mixed Media: Collage, papermaking, encaustic, pen and ink, paint, pencil, watercolor, or photography suitable for wall mounting
• 3-D Mixed Media: Mosaic, papier mâché, clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, or other three-dimensional objects
• Ceramics: Original shaped and fired clay (earthenware, porcelain, raku)
• Digital Art: Two-dimensional works manipulated by the artist using computer software
• Drawing & Printmaking: Original drawings (pen, pencil, charcoal, pastels, chalk) and prints (pulled plates, linoleum, etching, engraving, silkscreen, lithography)—all prints must be signed and numbered
• Fiber: Basketry, batik, weaving, papermaking, knitting, quilting (embellishment of manufactured materials not permitted)
• Glass: Blown, fused, stained, cast, or molded (embellishment of manufactured materials not permitted)
• Handicraft: Handmade items from manufactured, recycled, or repurposed materials with complete description required
• Jewelry: Crafted from metal, glass, stone, clay, or other materials—no commercial molds/casts; at least 50% of organic materials must be produced by artist
• Metal: Functional and non-sculptural works incorporating metal
• Painting: Oils, acrylics, watercolors, tempera suitable for hanging
• Photography: Prints, transparencies, or digital images from artist's original negative or digital camera, processed by artist
• Sculpture: Three-dimensional work in any individual medium
• Wood & Furniture: Original works built, turned, carved, or tooled (embellished manufactured wood not permitted)

Application Requirements

Minimum 4 images required to apply. Late applications may be accepted at the discretion of the Director and included on the Wait List.

Fees

Non-refundable administrative processing fee: $30.

Wait List & No-Show Policy

A wait list will be maintained. Selected waitlisted artists may be contacted when the Wait List is released one day prior to the event date. Artists who have not checked in and called the Festival Emergency Number by Saturday at 8:00 AM will be considered a no-show and are not eligible for refunds; assigned space will be forfeited to a wait-list artist.

Important Information

• Rain or shine event—no rain date; fees will not be refunded in case of inclement weather
• 24-hour on-site security and designated festival hotline during event hours
• Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting sales tax (current rate 8%)
• Prohibited items: T-shirts, commercial clothing, posters, manufactured toys, commercially manufactured/reproduced items, jewelry made from more than 50% manufactured components, items employing commercially available molds or patterns
