Materials Matter is a collaborative project by three artists and educators—Clare Breen, Mary Conroy, and Laura Ní Fhlaibhín—focused on developing sustainable approaches to art materials and production. The project documents research, testing, and methods for creating natural and DIY art materials and tools using low-cost, locally sourced raw ingredients, aiming to revive craft knowledge and environmental awareness in artmaking.

This project is generously supported by ArtLinks, a partnership of the four Local Authority Arts Offices in Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, and Wexford County Council regions, and also supported by the Arts Council.

Artists resident in the four partner local authority areas in the South East region (Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, and Wexford).
