The Piedmont Park Arts Festival is a juried, outdoor fine arts festival held annually each August in Midtown Atlanta's iconic Piedmont Park. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Best Arts Festivals by Sunshine Arts Magazine and the Best Summer Arts Festival in Metro Atlanta, this two-day festival features up to 250 carefully selected artists representing a wide range of media.

  • Event dates: August 21–22, 2027
  • Load-in: August 20, 2027 (Friday 12:00 PM–7:00 PM only)
  • Festival hours: Saturday 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, Sunday 11:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • 2-D Mixed Media (collage, papermaking, encaustic, pen and ink, paint, pencil, watercolor, photography)
  • 3-D Mixed Media (mosaic, papier mâché, clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood)
  • Ceramics (earthenware, porcelain, raku)
  • Digital Art (computer-manipulated images)
  • Drawing & Printmaking (pen, pencil, charcoal, pastels; pulled plates, linoleum, etching, engraving, silkscreen, lithography)
  • Fiber (basketry, batik, weaving, papermaking, knitting, quilting)
  • Glass (blown, fused, stained, cast, molded)
  • Handcrafted items (made from manufactured or repurposed materials)
  • Jewelry (at least 50% must be produced by the artist; no commercial molds)
  • Metal (functional and non-sculptural)
  • Painting (oils, acrylics, watercolors, tempera)
  • Photography (prints, transparencies, or digital from original negatives)
  • Sculpture (three-dimensional in any medium)
  • Wood & Furniture (built, turned, carved, or tooled; no embellished manufactured items)
  • T-shirts and commercial clothing
  • Posters
  • Manufactured toys
  • Commercially manufactured or reproduced items (resale)
  • Jewelry made from more than 50% manufactured components
  • Items employing commercially available molds or patterns

Submit a minimum of 4 images of your artwork. Late applications may be accepted at the director's discretion and included on the waitlist.

  • Non-Refundable Administrative Processing Fee: $35

A waitlist will be maintained and released one day prior to the event. Selected waitlisted artists may be contacted when spaces become available. Artists who have not checked in by Saturday 8:00 AM will be considered a no-show; no refunds will be issued and the space will be forfeited to a waitlist artist.

  • On-street parking available; paid parking options also available for artists and patrons

The festival will take place rain or shine with no rain date; fees will not be refunded for inclement weather. Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting sales taxes (8% current rate). All fees support the Georgia Foundation for Public Spaces, a not-for-profit providing scholarships to artists.
