About
Overview
Organizmo and LA ESCUELA___ invite creators, researchers, and cultural practitioners from Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in the Cuerpo, tejido y territorio (Body, Weaving and Territory) 2026 residency. This immersion-based program is centered on collective learning, creative experimentation, and care practices connected to territory. The initiative proposes a collective experimental space that challenges conventional ideas of architecture, infrastructure, and habitat through situated and multidisciplinary approaches.
Program Details
The residency will take place in Tenjo, Colombia, at Organizmo, a regenerating forest and research center. Over four weeks, participants will engage with the natural environment through processes of listening, collective creation, and shared living. The program is structured around three parallel areas of exploration: Clay and Landscape (earth-based practices, fire, ephemeral construction); Forest, Food and Regeneration (ecological and agroecological restoration); and Devotional Architectures and Bodies of Water (water cycles, transformation, and sensitive dimensions of territory). Each area will host two participants and include laboratories, meetings with local knowledge keepers, and collective exchange sessions. The residency will conclude with a Dabucurí—an open-house gathering where participants share their processes and findings.
Eligibility
Open to creators, researchers, and cultural practitioners based in Latin America and the Caribbean.
