Artists from a range of disciplines are invited to apply for a 4–7 week residency in Vicksburg, Michigan, providing private housing, studio space, and a stipend for one to two residents at a time.
Overview
Prairie Ronde Artist Residency offers artists from a range of disciplines a 4–7 week residency in the historic village of Vicksburg, Michigan. The 420,000 square foot former Lee Paper Company mill and its adjacent 80 acres of property provide a unique environment for artists to develop their craft. The residency aims to offer artists space and time to work while encouraging connection and dialogue with the Vicksburg community.
Residency Details
- Length: 5–7 weeks
- Average 1–2 artists in residence at a time
- Collaborative teams may apply
- Private housing off campus (individual apartment/cabin/house)
- Private kitchen access; no meals provided
