Overview
Taleamor Park offers self-directed residencies for artists, writers, scientists, and humanists on a scenic 350-acre farm near Lake Michigan and Indiana Dunes National Park. The property features a historic 1854 farmhouse with private bedrooms, multiple studio buildings, barns, and access to extensive equipment and a nearby MakerSpace. Residents share kitchen, library, laundry, and outdoor spaces.
Residency Duration & Availability

Studios & Equipment
Private studios available in two barns with natural light, a brick studio building with large sink, and a 3,200 sq ft modern metal building. Residents also have free access to The Exchange, a MakerSpace at LaPorte County Public Library, featuring laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC machine, industrial sewing machines, embroidery machines, soldering station, lathes, and state-of-the-art audio and video production studios.

Application Requirements
Submit a simple 3-page application electronically or via post, including a short resume or CV and work samples. Sample formats: 5–6 image .jpg files (no larger than 500K each), 3–6 minutes of streaming video, 5–10 pages of text in .pdf, and/or website URL.

Community Expectations
All residents must respect other residents and maintain the residence and facilities in safe and clean order. Smoking is not permitted indoors or outdoors. If desired, Taleamor Park can help facilitate an informal exhibition, performance, reading, or installation for community members.
