Overview
Aviário Studio Large Format Printmaking Residency provides technical conditions, time, and space for artists to develop printmaking ideas using relief, intaglio, screen printing, transfer, monotype, and other techniques. The residency promotes connection between artists from different backgrounds and exchange of knowledge and experiences. It can serve as a moment of transition connected to experimentation and research, or as the point of consolidation of a project translated into the production of a new body of work.

Eligibility
Open to artists based anywhere in the world at any stage of career (emerging, mid-career, or established). Must be over 21 years old at arrival. May apply as team or individually. Spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators).

Facilities & Equipment
Shared and dedicated studios with technicians. Equipment includes: Cutting Table 240 x 140 cm, Paper Guillotine 80 cm, Metal Guillotine 100 cm, Polymetaal Press 260 x 140 cm, Reig Press 100 x 60 cm, UV Light Exposure Unit 150 x 120 cm, 2 Drying Racks, Screen Printing Tables, Hot table 50 x 35 cm, Glass tables for inking, Light table, Etching Press, Large Sinks, Large Exposure Unit, Silkscreen Studio facilities, and additional woodworking, metalworking, and ceramics equipment.
Housing & Accommodations
Private bedroom in a shared housing facility on campus. Pets are not allowed. Partially accessible (50% or more). Shared kitchen available; no meals provided.

Funding
No stipends or grants currently available. Artists encouraged to apply for external financial support. Artists must ensure they can cover costs of residency fee, travel, materials, and food.
- Entry fee
- 2 weeks - 600 €; 3 weeks - 900 €; 4 weeks - 1200 €; 5 weeks - 1500 €; 6 weeks - 1800 €. Materials and meals not included. Studio support (training or assistance) is 20€ per hour.
