Overview
The Loop Music & Art Festival is a curated fine art festival in Downtown Dothan, Alabama, now in its 6th year. Organized by Art in Public Places, it takes place at Porter Park Plaza and draws over 5,000 festival-goers across two days of live music and original art. The festival features 55–70 carefully curated exhibiting, demonstrating, and group artists.

Application Requirements
Minimum 3 images required. Artists may apply in up to three categories, but must submit a separate application for each.
Accepted Categories
- Two-dimensional (drawings, paintings, digital works; no reproduction prints)
- Three-dimensional/Sculpture (clay, porcelain, glass, wood, metal; no jewelry)
- Mixed Media (combines two or more mediums)
- Jewelry (only artists accepted in this category may display or sell jewelry; no commercial parts)
- Fiber (wearable and non-wearable; no mass production; machine stitching permissible)
- Photography (film, hand-colored, emulsion transfers, digital; original source material only)
- Printmaking (hand-pulled original prints, limited editions, signed and numbered)
- Natural Materials (basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds)
Selection Process
The Loop is a curated festival. Applications are reviewed by the artistic director based on originality, quality, booth presentation, and creative excellence standards. A waitlist is maintained by category; cancellations are filled in order of selection.

- 2 Awards of Distinction: $575 each
- 6 Merit Awards: $225 each
- Total: $3,500 in awards
- Award winners are automatically invited to the following year's festival with a waived application fee

- Flat booth fee of $150 with no commission split
