The festival is situated amidst brick streets, Victorian homes, the historic Sponge Docks, and local restaurants and shops.

Howard Alan Events uses an ongoing jury process with applications reviewed in order of date received. The organizer recommends applying early, as categories may reach maximum allotment and close. Once closed, applicants apply to the waitlist only.
