Overview
Aviário Studio Multidisciplinary Residency is an artist-run space offering technical conditions, time, and space to develop ideas and try new approaches. It promotes connection between artists from different backgrounds and exchange of knowledge and experiences. Artists can develop projects using a medium or combination of technologies. The residency can be a moment of transition connected to experimentation and research, or the point of consolidation of a project translated into production of a new body of work. The duration, focus, and outcome of the residency is defined by the participating artist's goals.

Eligibility
Open to artists based anywhere in the world at any stage of career (emerging, mid-career, or established). Must be over 21 years old at arrival.
Residency Types & Options
- Choose your residency: Self-directed Residency, Guided Art Residency, or Assisted Production Residency
- Residency length: 2 weeks to 6 months
- Languages: English, French, Portuguese
- Spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators)
- Collaborative residencies accepted (must apply and be accepted individually)
- May apply as a team
Equipment & Facilities
- Ceramics: Electric wheels, electric kiln
- Blacksmithing/Metals: Gas/oxy torches, soldering workspace, bench grinder, heavy metals workspace
- Printmaking: Etching press, inking table, silkscreen studio, drying racks, light tables, large sinks, large exposure unit, washout room, padded screen print tables, well-ventilated spray room, darkroom (black and white), printers + scanner
- Woodworking: Tablesaw, bandsaw, router table, jointer, planer, wood vises, woodworking tables
- Book Arts: Facilities available
- Other: Drawing benches, easels, electric heating

Accommodation & Services
Private bedroom in shared housing facility on campus. Residents have access to shared kitchen; no meals provided. Pets are not allowed.
