Artists are invited to apply for a multidisciplinary residency (2 weeks to 6 months) to develop projects in visual arts using various media and workshop facilities.

Aviário Studio Multidisciplinary Residency is an artist-run space offering time, space, and technical conditions to develop ideas and try new approaches. The residency promotes exploration and production in visual arts, with facilities for printmaking, ceramics, wood, metal, sculpture, installation, drawing, painting, photography, and bookbinding. Residents can develop self-directed projects, participate in guided art programs, or assist with production residencies.

Residency length is 2 weeks to 6 months, defined by the participating artist's goals. Submission deadline is December 31, 2026.

Open to artists based anywhere in the world at any stage of career (emerging, mid-career, or established). Artists must be over 21 years old at the time of arrival. Spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators). May apply individually or as a team.

Private bedroom in a shared housing facility on campus. Partially accessible (50% or more). Residents have access to shared kitchen; meals not provided. Dedicated and shared studios with full-time and part-time technicians. Workshops equipped for printmaking, ceramics, woodworking, blacksmithing, book arts, darkroom work, silkscreen, and more.

Accommodation in shared house, studio access Monday–Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., access to workshops and equipment according to participant experience, and project discussion.

No artist stipend or travel/material stipend currently available. No application fee. Artists are encouraged to apply for external financial support.
