A low-residency Master of Arts in Art Education (MAAE) program designed for working K-12 art educators. The program is studio-centered and accommodates the schedules of busy art educators.

The Summer 2026 session runs from June 1st through August 1st, spanning 3 summers over 8 weeks. The curriculum requires 18 credits of studio coursework, 9 credits of Art Education Seminar coursework, and 3 credits of Art History coursework.

Working artist/educators who have a passion for studio art and are actively involved in making art. The program is geared toward K-12 art educators seeking to develop and maintain a unique and professional studio practice.

Develop and maintain a unique and professional studio practice. Maintain an evolving understanding of western, non-western, and indigenous historical and contemporary art contexts. Apply studio experience to the professional practice of art education. Apply contemporary Art Education issues, research, and theory to teaching practices.
