Aviário Studio Ceramics Residency provides technical conditions, time, and space for artists to develop ideas and try new approaches in ceramics. The program is customized according to each participating artist's goals regarding duration, outcome and focus. The residency can be a moment of transition focused on experimentation and learning new techniques, or a point of consolidation of a project translated into production of a new body of work.

Ceramics, clay arts, pottery, installation arts, interdisciplinary arts, mixed media, performance art, photography, sculpture, visual arts, and woodworking.

  • Residency fee (includes accommodation and studio access): 2 weeks - 600 €, 3 weeks - 900 €, 4 weeks - 1200 €, 5 weeks - 1500 €, 6 weeks - 1800 €
  • Materials and meals not included
  • Studio support (training or assistance): 20€ per hour
  • Artists must be able to cover residency fee, travel, materials, and food

Shared studios, dedicated studio/shop with part-time technicians, accessible ceramics workspace with electric wheels and kilns (1260° and 1050°), and additional facilities including printmaking, metal work, woodshop, and more.

Private bedroom in a shared housing facility on campus. Kitchen access provided; meals not included.
