Overview
Aviário Studio offers a multidisciplinary art residency providing technical conditions, time, and space to develop ideas and try new approaches. The residency promotes connection and knowledge exchange between artists from different backgrounds and supports exploration and production in the visual arts. It can serve as a moment of transition with experimentation and research, or as consolidation of a project into a new body of work.
Residency Details
The duration, focus, and outcome are defined by each artist's goals. The space includes workshops equipped for printmaking, ceramics, wood, metal, sculpture, installation, drawing, painting, photography, and bookbinding.

- Must be 21 years or older at arrival
- May apply individually or as a team (team members must each apply and be accepted individually)
- Spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators)

Housing & Facilities
Private bedroom in shared housing facility on campus. Shared kitchen (no meals provided). Partially accessible (50% or more).
Studios & Equipment
Shared and dedicated studios with full-time and part-time technician support. Ceramics: electric wheels and kiln. Metals: blacksmithing equipment, gas/oxy torches, soldering workspace, bench grinder. Printmaking: etching press, inking table, silkscreen studio, light tables, large exposure unit, washout room. Woodworking: tablesaw, bandsaw, router table, jointer, planer. Photography darkroom and other specialized facilities.

Artists must be able to cover costs of residency fee, travel, materials, and food.
Additional Opportunities
Residents may participate in open studio with fellow residents, donate work, give artist talks, lead workshops for the public or fellow residents, or lead skill shares.
