Hong Mei International Art Village, Xinpu Township, Hsinchu County

Hong Mei International Art Village seeks interns to participate in arts residency practical training. The program cultivates local and international arts talent through internships, exhibitions, salons, workshops, and cultural festivals. Interns will work in exhibition execution, arts administration, international exchange, and public outreach under the guidance of foundation staff.

  • Duration: Per annual recruitment announcement
  • Hours: Minimum 24 hours per week (three full days per week)
  • Schedule: 09:00–17:30 (lunch break 12:00–12:30)
  • Location: Hong Mei International Art Village (Xinpu Township, Hsinchu County)
  • Weekend support may be required for exhibitions, events, or special projects; hours count toward internship requirements and compensatory time off may be requested
  • This is an unpaid internship
  • No discipline restrictions; third/fourth year undergraduate or graduate students preferred
  • Passion for the arts with strong curiosity about cultural work
  • Willingness to embrace challenges and learn problem-solving skills
  • Sense of responsibility, ability to focus and work steadily, collaborative team spirit and communication skills
  • Basic English communication ability required (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
  • Multilingual ability beyond English
  • Photography, video production, graphic design, video editing, social media management, or website management experience
  • Prior volunteer service, student club participation, arts events involvement, or interdisciplinary collaboration experience
  • Writing, Chinese-English translation, or interview documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, or other design tools
  • Exhibition and Event Execution: assist in planning and executing exhibitions, lectures, workshops, open studios, and public activities to understand arts administration and event management
  • Arts Village Operations: participate in daily administration, space management, and project execution to learn institutional operations
  • International Exchange: support artist residencies and international exchange work, communicate with artists and cultural workers from diverse backgrounds
  • Public Outreach: participate in writing, image documentation, social media management, or educational promotion as needed

Interns are expected to maintain integrity, responsibility, respect, initiative, and teamwork. Three unexcused absences will result in termination of the internship. Work completed during the internship is the property of the foundation. All documents, materials, and unpublished information encountered during the internship must not be disclosed, distributed, or used without the foundation's permission.

Eligibility
Open to students of any discipline, preferably in their third or fourth year of undergraduate or graduate study, with passion for the arts and basic English communication ability.
