Actualize Gallery Exhibition Proposals: Spring 2027+ / Calls & Submissions

Actualize AiR is inviting artists, curators, artist-curators, and collectives to submit proposals for upcoming Spring 2027 exhibitions at Actualize Gallery in Pioneer Square, Seattle at 112 Prefontaine Place South.

This call is intended to create more opportunities for artists and curators to develop exhibitions, experiment with new ideas, and share work with Seattle audiences. We welcome proposals for solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, collaborative projects, and curator-led exhibitions.

We are currently considering proposals for:

March-April 2027: Full or half-gallery exhibitions
May-June 2027: Full or half-gallery exhibitions

Applicants may indicate interest in more than one timeframe. Exact exhibition, installation, and deinstallation dates will be coordinated with selected applicants.

We welcome applicants at a range of career stages. Previous professional gallery or curatorial experience is not required; however, applicants should demonstrate some experience presenting artwork, organizing exhibitions or creative projects, collaborating with other artists, or working within gallery or community arts spaces.

Strong proposals will present a clear and engaging exhibition concept, a thoughtful selection of participating artists and artwork, and a manageable and informed approach to using the gallery space. In these ways, ideal candidates will reflect a readiness and competency to execute their proposed exhibition.

Actualize AiR is a women-founded and artist-led arts organization supporting the growth of emerging artists and curators through affordable space, exhibitions, professional development, and community programming. We are especially interested in proposals that reflect Actualize AiR’s commitment to supporting emerging artists, experimentation, collaboration, community, and artists who have historically had less access to exhibition opportunities.
