Overview

The 5th annual Sarasota Festival of the Arts is a boutique, juried outdoor fine art festival held in downtown Sarasota. It features under 100 juried artists and welcomes an engaged, art-loving audience that supports a wide variety of mediums. Patrons are inquisitive, inspired, and purchase all art mediums.

• Setup: Friday, February 26, 2027, 12pm–6pm (continues Saturday, February 27 at 6am–8am)

Application & Fees

• Application fee: $30
• Minimum 4 images required
• Booth fee payments made directly to PARAGON (not through ZAPPLICATION)
• Booth fee payment due by January 27, 2027; artists not paid by deadline are automatically moved to the waitlist

Media Categories

• Ceramics: All original clay and porcelain work (other than jewelry). No machine-made or mass-produced work. Each piece must be signed if multiple pieces of the same design are displayed.
• Digital Art: Original works created or altered using a computer. Limited editions only, signed and numbered on archival materials.
• Drawing: Work using dry media (pencil, charcoal, pastel) or ink-based techniques (washes, pens).
• Fiber: Work crafted from fibers including basketry, embroidery, weaving, leatherwork, tapestry, and paper-making. No machine tooling, machine-screened patterns, or factory-produced wearable items.
• Glass: Original work created in glass by the artist. No pressed glass or mass production.
• Graphic & Printmaking: Hand-manipulated plates, stones, or screens, signed and numbered as limited edition. Offset reproductions not allowed. Printmakers must disclose creative and printmaking processes.
• Jewelry: All jewelry from any material. No commercial casts, molds, or production studio work.
• Metalwork: Non-sculptural, non-jewelry works crafted from metal. No production studio work.
• Mixed Media: 2D and 3D works incorporating more than one type of physical material. Jewelry and photography are not considered mixed media.
• Painting: Work created using oils, acrylics, watercolor. Reproductions allowed if signed and limited edition.
• Photography: Photographic prints from original images processed by the artist or under direct supervision. Images edited in Photoshop belong in this category. All images to be editioned, not exceeding 250 per edition.
• Sculpture: Three-dimensional original work in any medium (bronze, stone, acrylic).
• Wood: Original works that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned, or carved.
