Chastain Park Spring Arts Festival is a juried, two-day outdoor fine arts festival held each spring in beautiful Chastain Park, one of Atlanta's most established and scenic public parks. Located in the heart of Buckhead, the festival attracts a strong, art-savvy audience from surrounding neighborhoods and the greater metro Atlanta area. The event features approximately 125 juried artists showcasing original fine art and fine craft. The festival is free and open to the public, drawing a diverse mix of serious collectors, local residents, families, and returning patrons. Additional elements include live acoustic entertainment, food vendors, and a family-friendly environment.

  • 2-D Mixed Media (collage, papermaking, encaustic, pen and ink, paint, pencil, watercolor, photography)
  • 3-D Mixed Media (mosaic, papier mâché, clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and other 3-dimensional objects)
  • Ceramics (earthenware, porcelain, raku)
  • Digital Art (computer-manipulated images)
  • Drawing & Printmaking (pen, pencil, charcoal, pastels, chalk; pulled plates, linoleum prints, etching, engraving, silkscreen, lithography; all prints must be signed and numbered)
  • Fiber (basketry, batik, weaving, papermaking, knitting, quilting)
  • Glass (blown, fused, stained, cast, molded)
  • Handicraft (handmade items from manufactured, recycled, or repurposed materials)
  • Jewelry (at least 50% of organic materials must be produced by artist; no commercial molds)
  • Metal (functional and non-sculptural)
  • Painting (oils, acrylics, watercolors, tempera)
  • Photography (prints, transparencies, or digital images from original negatives/digital camera, processed by artist)
  • Sculpture (three-dimensional work)
  • Wood & Furniture (built, turned, carved, or tooled; no embellished manufactured items)

Open to all artists. Late applications may be accepted at the discretion of the Director and included on the Wait List.

  • Commercially manufactured or reproduced items (resale)
  • Jewelry made from more than 50% manufactured components
  • Any item employing commercially available molds or patterns

A waitlist will be maintained. Selected wait-listed artists may be contacted when the Wait List is released one day prior to the event date. Artists who have not checked in and/or called the Festival Emergency Number by Saturday at 8:00 a.m. will be considered a 'no-show.' No-show artists are not eligible for refunds, and assigned space will be forfeited to a wait-list artist.

  • Rain or shine (no rain date; fees not refunded for inclement weather)
  • Artists responsible for collecting and reporting 8% sales tax (Georgia 4%, Fulton County 3%, City of Atlanta 1%)

Voted Best Festivals by local media; professional marketing includes PR, online and print media ads, radio, TV, billboards, social media, and 300+ online calendar entries.
