About This Listing

This is an editorial policy document from On the Move, describing what types of cultural mobility news and opportunities they publish. This is not itself an open call for artists or cultural professionals to apply to.

What On the Move Publishes

• Cultural mobility news and opportunities involving temporary cross-border movement for educational, capacity-building, networking, or working purposes
• Funded mobility opportunities that reimburse and/or cover at least part of international travel costs
• Calls with no application fees and priority given to opportunities that do not charge selected participants
• News items with clear information on what successful applicants will be expected to do and what resources will be provided
• International opportunities open to citizens or residents of different countries
• Opportunities for artists and cultural professionals in any sector or region
• Mobility opportunities for people over transportation of artworks
• Digital mobility opportunities with some form of remuneration for participants' time
• News and announcements from small-scale organisations like non-profits, charities, and associations

What On the Move Does Not Publish

• Tailor-made information services or CV showcases
• News about buying/selling works, buying/renting spaces, or other commercial opportunities
• Calls for projects that depend on fundraising still in progress
• Opportunities available only to citizens of one country or very specific bilateral calls
• Opportunities for mobility of works of art rather than people
