Studio Office and Studio Commissioners for Berlin

Overview

The Studio Office (Atelierbüro) in the kulturwerk of the bbk berlin is the central contact point for visual artists living in Berlin seeking studio spaces. The office provides advice on finding and maintaining studios, and works to secure affordable production spaces for artists in the face of gentrification.

Mission

In cooperation with the Senate Department for Culture and Europe and the Society for Urban Development (GSE), the Studio Office develops new artists' workspaces and advises public and private building owners and politicians on studio infrastructure. The office works independently and is committed solely to the non-profit purposes of the kulturwerk.

Studio Advisory Committee

The Studio Advisory Committee is responsible for all decisions regarding the allocation of publicly funded studios and studio apartments, ensuring transparency and equal opportunities.
