Alchemy Ballet's Pop-Up Company presents Midsummer Nocturne on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Middleburg Community Center. The one-hour performance features choreography from classical ballet to contemporary and jazz, followed by a reception with light refreshments.

Under the artistic direction of Lorraine Audéoud Spiegler, the performance showcases works choreographed by Luis Serrano, Matthew McLaughlin, Jessica Brown, Stanislav Issaev, Pavlo Yevtuchenko, and Lorraine Spiegler. The program includes selections from Don Quixote and Swan Lake, Luis Serrano's choreography to "Las Simples Cosas," and an early glimpse of Alchemy's production of The Blue Bird (April 10, 2027). Featured music spans Ludwig Minkus, Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington, Aaron Copland, Roberta Flack, Hans Zimmer, Chopin, and Tchaikovsky.

The performance features young dancers from Alchemy Ballet's Pop-Up Company intensive, along with special guest artist professional dancer Matthew McLaughlin and Abigail Walker, a Washington Ballet trainee and Alchemy Ballet graduate.
