Onassis AiR has launched its Open Call for the 2025/26 season, inviting artists and creative practitioners from diverse disciplines and backgrounds to participate in a dynamic and immersive research-based residency in Athens, Greece. The program aims to foster artistic research and experimentation, providing dedicated space and time for professionals to explore their practice without the expectation of presenting a final work. Over the past five years, Onassis AiR has supported more than 200 Fellows and received over 7,000 applications. For 2025/26, the program introduces new directions, embracing crafts and material-based practices, and invites creatives from fashion, design, and applied arts to engage in an environment that promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Extended Research Residencies: Three-month artistic residency for artists, curators, artisans, filmmakers, writers, and other creative practitioners, supporting research and development with access to resources for experimentation with materials, scale, and collaborative processes.
  • Dramaturgy Fellowships: Open to Greece-based directors, choreographers, playwrights, and theatre/dance professionals to research and develop new performance projects that have not yet been presented.
  • Onassis AiR/ONX Fellowships: In collaboration with Onassis ONX, focusing on digital and immersive art, including Mixed Realities, computational art, performative elements, digital performances, kinetic installations, and interactive stage designs.
  • Technical Residencies: Supports professionals in technical roles including stage management, lighting, sound design, and advanced production technologies, with hands-on collaboration with technical and production teams.
  • Submission deadline: March 7, 2025, at 12:00 noon (UTC+2)

Open to artists and creative practitioners from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. Dramaturgy Fellowships are restricted to professionals based in Greece.
