Naples Art Institute's Art in the Park 2027 (Spring)

Overview

Naples Art Institute, located at the corner of Cambier Park by Park Street and 5th Ave South, is the hub of Art in the Park. Accepted artists receive complimentary access to the museum exhibition.

• April 10, 2027: Art in the Park: Local to Local event (with NAI Open House)

Eligibility

Open to all original artists. All artwork must be original work, designed and executed by the accepted artist. Applicants certify that submitted images represent their original work in both design and production.

Conditions for Acceptance

• Accepted artists must be present in their booths during all art show days and hours; no substitutes allowed (NAI booth-sitter service available for short breaks)
• Booths are for individual exhibiting artists and may not be shared
• Work displayed and sold must be consistent with images submitted; NAI will inspect all booths during the fair
• No work solely created by apprentices or employees
• No commercial agents, dealers, manufacturers, or buy/sell vendors
• No artwork from commercially available molds, patterns, kits, or volume production studios
• No embellished ready-made items (clothing, furniture, etc.)
• No copies of masters, advertisements, widely circulated photographs, or registered trademarks
• No posters, laser prints, t-shirts, postcards, calendars, cards, or promotional items
• Collaborating artists may apply as a single exhibitor if the collaboration is artistic (not business-related) and clearly defined in the artist statement; both must be present during all show hours

Art Categories Accepted

• Ceramics: original shaped and fired clay (earthenware, porcelain, stoneware, terracotta); may not be machine-made or mass produced
• Digital Art: signed, original work created by the artist using a computer, printed with archival quality materials; includes significantly manipulated scanned images of the artist's original photography
• Fiber/Wearable: original non-wearable artwork from fibers (basketry, batik, weaving, tapestry, papermaking) and original clothing or leather goods (no factory-produced items or tie dye)
• Furniture: original work in any material that is functional as furniture
• Glass: original work created by the artist (blown glass, fused glass, stained glass)
• Drawing/Printmaking/Graphics: drawings in graphite, ink, charcoal, pastels, or other marking media; printmaking through transfer processes
• Jewelry (precious): work from gold, sterling silver, precious stones, and enamel on silver or gold; high degree of skill and original design
• Jewelry (semi-precious): costume jewelry or non-precious metals, glass, clay, paper, fiber, wood, leather, polymer clay; high degree of skill and original design
• Metal: original metalwork created by the artist without production studio use
• Mixed Media 2D: includes collage and handmade paper; more than one media type with relief depth less than 1/8 inch
• Mixed Media 3D: original non-functional work combining more than one material or media exceeding 1/8-inch depth
• Painting—Oil/Acrylic: still life, portrait, landscape, abstract, or other subjects on canvas or flat surface using oil, acrylic, egg tempera, casein, or alkyd
• Painting—Watercolor: still life, portrait, landscape, abstract, or other subjects on paper with watercolor paints
• Photography: signed prints from the artist's own original negatives or digital files processed by the artist or under direct supervision
• Sculpture: original three-dimensional work created by shaping stone or other hard material
• Wood: original hand-tooled, machine-worked, built-up, turned, or carved work in wood; functional furniture pieces should be entered in the furniture category
