St. George Art Festival 2027

Overview

Since its founding in 1980, the St. George Art Festival has become one of the largest and most celebrated gatherings of artists in Utah. Held annually over Easter weekend, the festival draws more than 30,000 attendees to the scenic town of St. George, set in the heart of charming Town Square surrounded by historic buildings and scenic views. The festival features more than 180 juried artists and is known for treating participating artists as honored guests.

Eligible Categories

• Ceramics/Pottery: Original work, decorative or functional
• Drawing/Pastel: Artwork made with dry media including chalk, charcoal, ink, pastel, pencil, or fluid medium of inks and washes applied by pen or brush
• Fiber/Wearables: Wearable and non-wearable pieces from fibrous materials using weaving, basketry, papermaking, leatherwork, and handmade garments; no mass-produced elements allowed
• Glass: Original hand-crafted work by glass blowing, fusing, casting, or kiln forming; no pre-manufactured items allowed
• Graphics/Digital Art: Original work where the original image or manipulation of source material was executed by the artist using a computer in signed and numbered limited editions on archival-quality materials; AI-generated work prohibited
• Printmaking: Prints of original work by traditional methods including etching, engraving, silkscreen, stone and plate lithography, linoleum block, or woodcut
• Jewelry: All jewelry from metal, glass, clay, fiber, paper, plastic, or other materials; no commercial casts, molds, or production studio work allowed
• Metal: Original non-sculptural, non-jewelry metalwork created through forging, twisting, and fabricating; no production studio work allowed
• Mixed Media: Works both 2- and 3-dimensional incorporating more than one type of physical material; works made with epoxy resin will not be accepted
• Painting: Original compositions created with oil, acrylic, or watercolor; paintings over prints/giclees or pre-existing images not allowed; fluid art/paint pour/acrylic pour artwork will not be accepted
• Photography: All photographic processes beginning with a camera lens; the photographic process including any digital alteration and/or hand painting must be displayed with the photograph
• Sculpture: Original, non-functional three-dimensional works carved, modeled, constructed, or cast from any materials
• Wood: Original work hand-tooled, carved or machine-worked including furniture; embellished or painted store-bought furniture not accepted

Requirements

All work must be original and substantially created by the exhibiting artist. Commercially manufactured, mass-produced, or commercially assembled items are not eligible unless specifically permitted within a category. A minimum of 4 images is required to apply.
