Rowena Federico Finn: [fab-ri-keyt] features the artist's mixed media work meticulously combining capiz shells, piña fabric, found images, and historical texts to explore experiences of cultural displacement and histories of colonialism. The exhibition is presented as part of MoCA Arlington's SOLOS 2026, a long-running program launched in 1988 that features solo exhibitions by artists based in the Mid-Atlantic region working at the forefront of contemporary art.

About the Artist
Rowena Federico Finn is a Filipina-American multidisciplinary artist, educator, and community advocate based in Virginia. Community engagement and education are central to her artistic practice. Her work has received regional and national recognition, including acquisition by the Chrysler Museum of Art. She has received grants from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Money for Women/Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, the Virginia Beach Department of Cultural Affairs, and Virginia Tech's Diverse Voices and Perspectives program. She has been awarded residencies at the Hambidge Center for Creative Arts & Sciences, the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Hermitage Museum & Gardens.
