About
Overview
ERSTE Foundation offers twelve fellowships for emerging curators and young artists from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe to participate in courses at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg 2022. The program is realized in cooperation with tranzit, Igor Zabel Association, and Kontakt Collection. Six fellowships are reserved for Ukrainian artists via a closed call process.
Eligibility
Applicants must be emerging curators or artists at the beginning of their career from Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, or Ukraine. Prior recipients of ERSTE Foundation fellowships or participants in other ERSTE-supported programs will not be given priority.

What the fellowship covers
The fellowship covers room and board, travel expenses, and the participation fee for the chosen course.

- Complete digital application form with contact information
- Letter of intent explaining why you apply and why you are qualified (max. 5,000 characters)
- Brief curriculum vitae (max. 1 page)
- Portfolio (max. 10 MB)
Selection process
A jury formed by representatives from tranzit.cz, tranzit.hu, tranzit.ro, tranzit.sk, Igor Zabel Association, Kontakt Collection/WHW Akademija, and ERSTE Foundation will nominate participants. Final acceptance is decided by the teachers of the chosen courses.
