ARCAthens Virtual Residency #3 features multidisciplinary artist Elia Alba, visual artist Maro Michalakakos, and independent curator Eleni Riga in a cross-cultural dialogue.   • Elia Alba: Multidisciplinary artist working in photography, video, and sculpture, exploring fluid identities and collective community. Hunter College BA (1994), Whitney Museum Independent Study Program (2001). Recipient of Studio Museum in Harlem Artist-in-Residence (1999), Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (2002), Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant (2002, 2008), LMCC Workspace Program (2009), and Anonymous Was A Woman Award (2019).
  • Maro Michalakakos: Born and raised in Athens, exploring the relationship between life and death through visual work incorporating velvet, scalpels, and painting. Works have been acquired by major public and private collections.
  • Eleni Riga: Independent curator and co-founder of art & research platform hd.kepler. Worked at MoMA's Adult & Academics Programs (2019-2020), Director of Contemporary Art at Eleusis 2021 European Capital of Culture, and curatorial assistant at documenta 14. Master's degree in curatorial studies from Université Paris 1 Panthéon–Sorbonne.
