Artists Alfred Banze and Christine Falk (Camping Akademie e.V., Germany) collaborated with Nongpho community members to collect plastic waste from local households and construct a 7-meter-high, 5-meter-wide stupa from the collected materials. The installation represents the volume of plastic waste produced by the community and served as a symbolic invitation for community participation in a 'Plastic Funeral' ceremony, complete with monk chanting and traditional dance performances. The project led to the pilot initiative 'Plastic Killer,' which aims to sort and reduce plastic waste within a 2-year timeframe in collaboration with Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture, Wat Nongpho community school, and Nongpho municipality office.
